Giovanni Pascoli House Museum

Giovanni Pascoli bought this house on Caprona hill in the village of Castelvecchio in 1895. Here he spent the most peaceful years of his life until his death in 1912. The house museum became a national monument and still retains the rooms and furnishings left by the poet.

“A. Mordini” Civic Museum

Housed in the striking medieval Praetorian Palace, the museum lays out the history of the Barga area and its specific naturalistic, historical and artistic characteristics.

Peace Museum of Sommocolonia

The museum is dedicated to the events that took place in Sommocolonia during World War II. In the museum you can find many original artefacts including weapons, equipment and period photos.
